how did the car ran with a 9:1 cr and no blower?? I guess it wasn't that bad... after all you put almost 10kmiles that way.

You got it, it was a cash flow and time issue. I bought the shortblock that came with the CC305 cam and I only had like a months time on the weekend to do the install with my friend at his house. I had to save up money for other stuff too like 12 ribbed pulley setup, 50# Injectors, New Opti, New Water Pump (old one had 120K miles on it) New wires, Plugs, New Canton Oil Pan, long tubes, plus the misc stuff like gaskets, Arp bolts/studs,...etc...etc. As you probably know, it adds up quick but I am glad to say that I never once dipped into my credit card to finish this project

I figured before this 383 swap, I was only running 4.5# on a stock motor with just a Borla exhaust so a 383 with 10# of boost, full exhaust and a cc305 cam would feel real good compared to my old set up. The other reasons were that if I did heads, and a bigger cam, I would need to upgrade most of the fuel system to compensate with the extra power, which would have been more $$$ and also I dont think my trans would have lived as long either with the extra power (my current trans is built to withstand 500HP Flywheel). My goal is to have a Daily Driver that I drive 600 Miles a week, that puts down ~450 or so HP down at the Wheels. Later down the line, that may change...

The 383 did feel pretty good even with the lower compression and stock heads. I had no problems keeping up with lightly modded Ls1s, Now with the blower, Its a different Story
All I have to do now is Fix a header leak, get a new custom Off Road Y-pipe put it and get it Dyno Tuned with WideBands 02s.

Thx,
Claude
