how did the car ran with a 9:1 cr and no blower?? I guess it wasn't that bad... after all you put almost 10kmiles that way.

I figured before this 383 swap, I was only running 4.5# on a stock motor with just a Borla exhaust so a 383 with 10# of boost, full exhaust and a cc305 cam would feel real good compared to my old set up. The other reasons were that if I did heads, and a bigger cam, I would need to upgrade most of the fuel system to compensate with the extra power, which would have been more $$$ and also I dont think my trans would have lived as long either with the extra power (my current trans is built to withstand 500HP Flywheel). My goal is to have a Daily Driver that I drive 600 Miles a week, that puts down ~450 or so HP down at the Wheels. Later down the line, that may change...
The 383 did feel pretty good even with the lower compression and stock heads. I had no problems keeping up with lightly modded Ls1s, Now with the blower, Its a different Story
All I have to do now is Fix a header leak, get a new custom Off Road Y-pipe put it and get it Dyno Tuned with WideBands 02s.
Thx,
Claude
