Anyone looking for a pair of t-66's?

I have my t-66's that have not been run and decided to run a single turbo setup and bought a turbo today so going to sell my twins.

If you are serious email me for info.

the eternal project lives on..

Are you and Tamez having the "longest project" contest?

Are they the same (physical) size as my 60's?
bah- nevermind, I've got more than I can plant now..

Good luck, try racingjunk.com and parts2sell.com

Yes same size as your turbos.

Notice you haven't seen new pictures of my car recently Does it have a ls1 in it

After my wreck i slowed down on the camaro alot. I know kurtis just had a baby so that slowed him down

I just have been focused on other things right now and the camaro isn't one of them

I thought about just sending the car away and having it finished by a shop but that does not make me happy i love to build the car.

Did you solve your ignition problems ?

Wow, I didn't know you had a wreck! Hope you're feeling better!

...And I sure as hell didn't know Kurtis was pregnant!!

I think the ignition problems are cured for now.. But now I'm dealing with Trans-King and Precision Industries.. I sent the converter back to Precision because I thought it was too loose (6500 rpm @ 115mph in 3rd) and they say the converter is ok, it must be the tranny... I'm waiting on a call back from MadMan about the tranny.. I pulled the pan and the fluid looked pretty good, maybe a little discolored, but definitely not burnt. There wasn't an inordinate amount of clutch material in the pan.. I *think* the tranny is fine, but he converter is too loose.. I think Jack @ precision may not believe the HP/Torque numbers I'm telling him.. LOL I've got a good paying race this weekend, I hope my converter makes it back in time..

keep in touch

Dang Steven, please make up your mind... I've been following your multiple buildups/revisions for what seems like years now waiting to see how it all turns out. From the pics i've seen, you've done awesome work on everything... It'd be just wrong to let someone else build it for ya.

I guess you'll have to change the sig now

If the turbos sell some will be suprised what i choose but I sat down like a freind of mine and saw how far outside the rules I was not just a lil but ALOT. I know some people would b*tch if i show up with a pair of t-66's strapped to the car but they let you run larger singles go figure on that one. I refuse to change the suspension on the car though as I personally love the way it is setup right now.

Cool I am nervous about my converter as well but one way to find out The major good thing though is the headers were designed so a single could be swapped in favor of the twins very easily just going to have to find 2 small rads now and figure out how to plumb them in so they work.

I guess compliance with the rules is an acceptable reason for changing directions. Definitely a good thing you don't have to start the headers from scratch again. What class are you building this for? I wonder how many times they'll change the rules before you get done

loosely on super street, there is a class up here i will fit into nicely imo with the rules like that but we will see how the car runs engine I have no problems with imo its just the chassis going to be interesting.

I wonder if you very educated Turbo guys could answer a question for me.

Would the Lag be bad if an LS1/LT1 had a T88 compared to a T78 or even a T60? With my upcoming Turbo LT1 Project coming.. I'm just curious at what rpm they would be spooled. Thanks

background on the system...

-What are you after hp wise?
-What is your foundation (engine and fuel system) *sure you have the rest under control if you looking at a t-88.
-What are you doing with the system?
-Large or small frame t-88.
-Use of the car?

Those three turbos are WAY diff. T-60 instant boost on a built motor pumping out some cubic inches. T-78 fairly decent spool rate also dependent on exhaust housing. T-88 alot more to spool it up and I would only really look seriously at this if you are trying to make ultimate hp for a semi street driven car.

I'm not looking to build a 1000 Horsepower Monster. I'd be really happy with 500+ Rwhp but i don't want to pick a Turbo that's going to keep me spinning off the line because of instant spool. I would like alittle lag with the system... Full boost after 3000rpm so i can attempt to keep it streetable.

The block is going to be an LT1 Shortblock with Forged Internals.. Thinking 8:1 - 8.5:1 Compression ratio with P&P LT1 or LT4 Heads. Stock Cubes... Fuel system to match the Needs of the Turbo.. Custom Dyno Tune

Heck a small frame T88 will more then likely go beyond what the LT1 block can handle. PTE's new 76-GTQ will do the work, or their new 85mm.

Just cuz I don't have a Forced Air combo doesn't mean I won't catch you talking about me in here!!!

I'm figuring Steven will probably win that battle. Things are getting close enough I can taste it. This thing is coming out SOOO cool. Some of the setbacks I've had were truely worth the wait including redoing alot of chassis stuff w/ Brad Hadman (of NHRA Top Fuel fame), and a different top end on the engine. I figure I've made the car much safer, more rigid, and will just plain WORK better, along w/ an additional 150fwhp then before on motor alone. Then its just the misc. odds and ends that you of all people know about.

I truely think that once I deem the car is *Done*, its going to be a real catchy piece.

Oh, and don't mess w/ me while I'm breastfeeding damnit!@ Hehe. jk.

Steven, I'll give you $200 bucks for one of the turbos, and enough Stainless tubing to make a new header for my lawnmower.

You might have spooling issues. Just FYI.
