Anyone try Megasquirt?

It looks pretty interesting.. A guy wants to sell me a 2 bar kit he started but didn't finish.

It needs MAP, IAT, coolant temp, and o2 and it can control 8 injectors and a idle control. Best of all its only around $120

It doesn't control spark but it is a closed loop system.

do a google search for it

I've run across it as I was doing some research on the ion sense technology - definitely looks interesting, but I couldn't see swapping over to it. You can pick up used Gen6 DFI setup's dirt cheap now if you are looking for something more than the stock computer - and with the tunercat RT setup the 93's are looking especially nice.

i like how the stock computer controls emmissions equipment, and you can't beat megasquirts price tag

The RT doesn't work on the 93 computers, i've tried many times to no avail.. worked on everything else though... But still the 93's can't read into boost.. thats my problem adjusting the fuel curve with a FMU.

I think i'm going to use the megasquirt just to take over the fuel delievery, the stock computer will have no control over the injectors.

Really, didn't know the RT didn't work with the 93's? Tunercat have any leads on this - is it an xtronics issue, software issue, or no one knows yet?

Have you tried running a 2 bar maf and just rescaling the appropriate tables in the pcm? I'm testing it out right now on my MAF car and it really doesn't seem to have affected drivability much if any?

yeah i don't know what the deal was on the 93's.. the computer in my car has always been picky about what you use..

Me and a friend where working on multi-program piggy back adatpers... we got it to work in everything but the 279's.. then when i got the pocket romulator that didn't work either..

Sorta frustrating.
