ati doesn't fit? i hope someone knows about this

guys either something is really wrong here or i'm a total idiot. Tonight I started installing my ati p-1sc, I did all of the relocations and proceded to installing the mounting bracket. When I tried to mount the bracket I could not get it to clear the lower part of my ABS. The ABS motor sits on what looks to be a proportioning valve but then there is this black box under that. The black box is what im having clearence probs with. At first i thought that i skipped a relocation step untill i realized that it was part of the ABS. I hope I don't have some weird setup! any help would be apreiciated.

Thanks Matt

Black box...that sounds like the cruise control unit. Has a harness and throttle line coming out of it. Im pretty sure this is what your talking about but its been so long since my car has been stock You criuse control box should be moved into the front fender near the lights, if ati is still using that spot. I think there is 4 bolts holding it down, get a lite up there and let me know.

The SC bracket isnt near the cruise control unit (not on oure car). Think its the bracket for the ABS unit thats the problem, When i installed my P1sc i had to cut of part of the abs bracket to get enough clearence, but if i remember correct it wasnt clearence for the SC bracket that was the problem, it was the head unit that didnt get enough clearence....

I had to grind ALOT of of the lower abs bracket, and my sway bar mount braket and bolts. If it touches anything you will get a horrblie high frequncy vibration. you will have to yank the blower back out, with its a real pita....

i also had to pull the abs braket to the diver side of the car becuase it was toching the relocated coil. i just used a zip tie becuase it did not require much force.

i dont know what black box your talking about is tho....

Yes but if I remember right it was bolted right below the abs unit...Anyway way back when I remember relocating the cruise control unit from my p-600 blower.

I called ATI they told me that this is a prob with some 95 and 96 cars. If the car has T/C it wont clear. I'm with you guys i thought it was ABS but its not its just connected to the abs. Its not the cruise either I already relocated that. long story short they sent me to D&B performance in cali who sells the T/C relocation kit that also comes with new brake lines that are premolded. Danny at D&B was really cool he spent a lot of time on the phone with me and I would recomend him and his CO.
Thanks Matt
