CAM guru's---112 LSA on a 383 w/blower.
After speaking with a few fellow F-body buddys, I have a question about my engine. I had a 383 built for boost. I am running a D1SC and shooting for 15lbs of boost. My engine builder uses a well known shop for heads/cam set-up and they went with a 22X/23X on a 112. Most people are saying that this is to tight of a LSA. What do you guys think?

Sounds too tight to me as well...me and dad just put together a 8:1 482 stroker BBC for our Checkmate boat to use w/ a Weind 177 blower and the cam we're using is on a 114.
LSA = valve overlap
overlap = blowing boost out the exhaust
If your engine builder trusts who he got the heads/cam from then it may be alright because running alot of boost like that having a little overlap will help keep the cylinders clear of exhaust gases.
If it doesnt have the power it should,you know a good place to start bitching at!

Keep the 112LSA it will work great with your setup. Lobe seperation correlates with duration as far as overlap goes. Some overlap is a good thing with a centri blower car. The specs on my cam is a 224/230 on a 112.
