crankcase pressure

crankcase pressure
Last weekend we have finally installed after some issues a paxton supercharger on to my 97 T/A.
Almost everything is working out O.K. but the problem is that the engine is building up a huge crankcase pressure when it goes in to boost.
When i twist of the oilfillercap it blows away.
As a result of the high pressure it is starting to leak oil.
Am i overlooking something simple or is the engine not in such a good shape as i thought it was.(it is the original engine with 60K on it)
What would be the best thing to start looking at to eliminate proberly causes in your opinion?

Re: crankcase pressure
Does the crank case puff smoke out the oil fill hole at idle? If so, your ring lands are probably shot. If it only pressurizes the crank case under boost, it may be your plumbing for the PCV system. The Vortech instruction have you remove the line from the TP to the valve cover, plug the TB hole and route a feed line from the intake of the blower (after the MAF) to the valve cover.

Re: crankcase pressure
"removing the line from the TP to the valve cover" is exactley what we forgot !
So the SC was filling the crankcase with air.
I have asisted Wims97T/A in the instalation of the SC and did not payed atention to that It was running kind of late and where not thinking straght

Re: crankcase pressure
Ater thinking it over and over again ,we also installed a throttlebody feulplate and i was wondering could it be that i have installed the gaskets wrong and that the PCV valve gets nothing from the throttle body ?

Re: crankcase pressure
Wel as mentioned i removed the line from the throttle body and blocked it of.
It seems that the problem is over now. lets hope that the gaskets forgive me the pressure i gave them.
Now it is time for test and tune and check and double check everything.
