Thanks, I do have experience in fabricating and welding so it's not like all of this is new to me. Plumbing exhaust and headers is what I do best I think. Right now I'm working on making slip on header collectors, much like Burn's sells. Depending on how long it takes me to make, it might just be included with the kits.

BTW, here are some pics of some work I've done. Note that these are my cars. When working on other people's cars I tend to do better work

My twin turbo RX7

Sounds great man. Let's put this plan to action. I might buy one when you get finished. What sized piping are you planning on having?

there's really not much question to it. if you can find a way to make similar or better quality kits than the competition for less money and in a timely manner, plenty of people will buy kits from you. i am currently thinking of building a kit myself for my car since i dont know if i can scrape up the $ this winter for a T76-GTS or T88 PTK kit, but if you could produce something similar for a better price, i would definitly be interested since ill already be busy building 2 turbo setups from scratch for a couple projects this winter

OK, this is still going to happen guys so don't think I just brushed it off. I'm not sure yet if I'll make kits for the LT1 guys but for sure I'll be doing the LS1. Next month I'll be starting the build and should finish in a couple weeks. I'll have plenty of pics to show. I'm hoping after people see my LS1 kits, LT1 guys will jump in. BTW, there will be 3 different stages availible

1. Single kit w/o IC (piping goes from compressor housing to TB)
2. Single kit w/ small FMIC
3. Single kit w/ huge FMIC

Price will depend on what turbo you choose as well as what stage

Maybe you'd jig everything up you could just make headers for the DIYers kinda like the mustang guys have. No one like that for the camaro guys yet. Besides the headers are the hardest part of a kit anyway, if there was a source for them, and they were quality, more people would jump to the turbo bandwagon. Exhaust and intake tubing is cake! (I'm sure you know that)

Bill, that's something I was thinking about already. The only money I would make is from fabricating anyways. I'm sure anyone else can get parts just as cheap as I can get them.. The only money I would be making is from my time fabricating the headers, downpipe, and IC pipes. Making just the headers and downpipe is another option.

I've been pricing custom made stainless flanges and they are damn pricey!! I'm temped to use mild steel for flanges since they are less prone to warping, but I just don't know how people would react to that. Mild is better for warpage, stainless is better for the eyes

Go to a local machine shop and see how much they would charge for the flanges? Might be able to get a deal that way. Also, Bill's header idea is good. I'd be interested in a set. Even if they were just mild steel.

Unless you are planning on building the headers from 321 SS like Marty did, then Mild Steel is your best bet. Under daily use SS304 tends to crack a good bit due to its higher rate of expansion and contraction vs mild steel. Their is a reason why most turbo companies now use mild steel with coating. Heck cartech mild steel mustang headers that are now over 10 years old are still going strong with orginal coating. While the 304 SS Greddy header on our test Supra has been repaired 3 times already for cracks in less then 2 years.
