Do you guys think people would buy complete GT40,GT42, T70, T76 turbo kits for $4000?

INTMD8 -
Cost on those items is less than that, not to mention ( i would assume) he is having the headers jigged and built over seas.
If I had the time, I have access to a Tiawan account, and they can make SERIOUSLY bad *** stainless headers for 20% of what they charge here. all TIG welded, etc.

LT1RX7, FWIW the old turbo tech stuff that was made of stainless steel (log manifold) had a steel flange. Steel is half the cost of even 304 stainless flanges, list prices that is.

Jordan, I don't know where you came up with that I'll be building the kits myself. I'll have some help from time to time by some friends but it'll mostly be worked on by myself.
I've been doing some research and talking to friends , I've made some changes
People will have there choice of having headers made in mild steel than ceramic coated, or 321 stainless w/ mild flanges and collectors. Price will be the same either way.
The very first kit to be built will be done by then end of next month hopefully. There will be some changes cause the owner wants features that I won't include for the price. The headers I'll be making for him will include Burns slip fit collectors. These suckers cost $600, more than the cost of the headers themselves. He's also going to run an air to water IC which I will have custom made. A Mezeire remote mount water pump will handle the job of sending cold fluids. The good news is that he's gonna be running a GT42 which is very popular and what my kit will be based on.
There will more than likely be numerous changes between now and the time I go to sell these. I'll keep everyone updated

I was planning on turning shorty headers upside down, facing them the other way, and cutting from there for my manifolds. How bad of an idea is this? It will be twins on an LT1.
In other words, I'm looking for manifolds. Maybe a downpipe from you, also.

Buying just the manifolds and downpipe from me will be just fine. But just to let you know, I won't mark up the turbo, wastegate, bov, or any other parts. So if you buy just the manifolds and dp, you'll end up paying the same for the whole kit in the end, unless you buy used parts.
I probably won't be able to make LT1 kits till another 3-4 months. We're starting on the LS1 kits next month and it should take a couple weeks to make the first one. Another couple weeks to make accurate jigs. I'm hoping to bust out 2-3 kits a week after the jigs are done.

Well guys, I know there have been doubts as with anyone that not only claims they can build such a complex kit but also produce them. I have made a post at another forum which can be seen here
http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread...74#post2084574
This is for the LS1 and we are just about done with the full kit. The major thing we are waiting on is the turbo which apparently Precision has been waiting on there S-trim turbine wheels. The plan is to also build an LT1 single tubo kit but I just wanted to let you guys see my work so hopefully in the future, my quality won't be questioned.
Anyways, the kit we are building now is a single T74 S-trim, dual Tial 38mm wastegates. Manifolds are made of 14ga 304L ss. All header and turbo flanges are 1/2" mild steel. Check out the link and stay tuned
