dual spal 11" fans?

I was lurking over at ls1tech in the forced induction section and ive noticed alot of them have been switching over to the dual 11" spal fans for better cooling. I was wondering if any of my Lt1 people have switched over to this setup. they seem to be having good luck with it. If the fans fit the ls1 radiator wont they fit ours too?

everyone gets the SPAL because of their reliability but there are also other fan setups out there that cost less and work great

If i have to upgrade i'm probably going to go with the flex-a-lite trimline dual fan setup. They are dual 11", pull only 20amps, flow 2500cfm, and are only 2 1/4" THICK, makes for A LOT MORE ROOM

just letting you know there is more out there. Plus the SPAL fans have a diff connector that i believe you have to buy separate. Not sure on that one

Also i am pretty sure that LJ has dual spals on his YS-trim equipped camaro. he goes by 10secondZ or 10secZ on this board

Thanks, I'll look at the flex-a-lite fans b/c I do need the room. Do those fans have put out more cfm than the stock fans do?

Just remember though if you upgrade to a bigger radiator and decide to run an electric waterpump then you will need the room.

I'm installing Dual spal Push fans on my setup. Don't know how it works but hopefully it will go smooth.

I dont think I'll be upgrading the radiator unless its absolutely necessary. But I know I will be upgrading the fans on my car b/c I dont like my coolant temp to be in the high 190's. I am used to them being the 180 range. But hat was also before the s/c and the front mount. I really dont understand, i have the intercooler and radiator seperated quite a bit. But the 2-core is blocking the radiator to an extant bu theres still a good 12-15 inches apart.

im not 100% sure but imo yes. From what i have read the stock GM dual fan setup does around 1400-1500cfm or so

but again, i'm not 100% on that information. I do know that ASSC uses that fan setup when they run big blowers with cogs in their thirdgens because of the space limitations and they dont have problems with them

I'm one of the dual-SPAL 11" users. So far so good. It does just BARELY fit in there, but is pulls some serious air...

I'm running the dual-11" pullers with a BeCool radiator, HD Mez pump motor, and a cog drive for the ys-trim. I don't think anything else would have fit.

WOW that a pretty impressive difference, can someone please confirm what the stock fans flow as opposed to the Aftermarket one.

Whats the price on the flex-a-lite trimline dual fan setup?
And do they just bolt up and can we use our stock connectors?

Thx,
Claude

I'd love to hear more on this!
I just installed my new Be Cool Radiator and with the 12 rib D1-SC, I had to cut up the stock fans ALOT to get the clearance I needed!!!

I think Summit sells the thin flex-a-lite for like 100 bucks or so??
