Thumbs up Finally... dyno numbers for the 'Bird!!!

1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula
388 stroker LT1 (using LT1 heads) by Midwest Engine Tech (Mokena, IL)
Procharger F1 22 psi (I need a new boost gauge)
100 octane unleaded pump gas
F.A.S.T. tuning by FLP's tuning god, Dan Bills
Extreme Duty T-56 by FLP's transmission expert, Chuck Johnson
All intercooler tubing and custom 3 inch into 4 inch y-pipe by FLP's exhaust wizard, Don "The Magican" Kenik
A special thanks to Guy Tiberio for your assistance with putting this beast back together.

769 rwhp
682.4 rwtq

This car is the new FLP dyno king. I'm sure it will be de-throned shortly as the owner of FLP, Jim, was there and saw the numbers.

Needless to say, I am extremely happy with the outcome. I am going to have my hands full driving this car to say the least.

Congrats! Nice numbers. How much compression are you running?

VERY impressive! I am always glad to see LT1's putting down that kind of power.

Thumbs up Video clips of the dyno runs...

Here are the the videos. Sorry for a few them being so dark. Audio is more important than the video anyway. I tried to get the pegged boost gauge on the last video, but it came out too dark.

Those are great numbers! I'm curious, was that by chance through full exhaust?

FLP 1.75 inch long tube headers (prototype), custom 3 inch into 4 inch y-pipe, Mufflex 4 inch intermediate pipe, and a dual 3 inch outlet Spintech muffler. The entire system is ceramic coated as well. So yes... this is a full exhaust.

Re: Finally... dyno numbers for the 'Bird!!!

I had that same muffler and everyone said it was such a horsepower robber. I had dual cutouts in my y-pipe, and I never gained anything at the track when I uncapped them.

People will say I'm wasting my time, but I'm using dual Spintech's for my new setup. Again, I'll remove them and see how much I gain with a dumped x-pipe setup with no mufflers, and I'll be perfectly fine if they do kill horsepower some, run mufflers on the street, take 'em off for the track. Doesn't seem like you had any problem making power with it.

Sometimes people don't know that they are talking about. The Spintech muffler is a great muffler. It sounds good too... I'm tired of the Flowmaster tone.
