go with a 355, 383 or 396
hey...
my car is turbo'd and once it explodes i'd like to build it, as much as i can afford it...
my question is 355, 383, or 396 (its an lt1 btw)
the cam i'm going with is Comp Cams TS233XR Camshaft 233/242 duration @ .050", .569"/.576" lift with 1.6 rockers, 114lsa. and i wil get me some loyd elliot ported heads... now my question is what ci to go with?
i need something that would fit my budget (i have 4 grand to put down including installation)
so what do i go with?
thx

If your going with stock ported heads your going to have to go with a huge dish on the pistons to get a low compression ratio and thats on a 355 it only gets worse as the CI increases. I looked into all this myself a while back and to get where I want to be my engine builder highly reccomended to go with a set of AFR heads with a 78cc chamber instead of going the large dish pistons.

Stroker motors mainly bias low-end torque, so they work well with centrifugal superchargers, which lack low-end. Turbo's, however, make huge low-end, so I wouldn't deal with the extra stroker hassle.
