Yeah, I need to find out if it is radiating from my Z first. The cord is long enough I can just plug it in to another car next to my Z, and run the V1 in my z while being powered from another car. If it then goes off it is radiating from my Z, and the good people at V1 technologies said they could open up my V1 and put appropriate shielding in the unit for me.

If I find that it is coming from the cord, then I will probably just save for the new V1 upgrade.

hate to bring back an old thread... but just curious if you worked things out...

On www.radardetector.net there have been discussions on many cars setting off the laser on their detectors. It was found that this is caused by engine noise through the electrical system and can be cured by hardwiring the detector to a different power source within the car.

The car is now in storage, and unfortunatly with the bills I need to pay off from having my motor built for my supercharger, I am currently selling my V1.
