Question IAC Relocation, worth the hassle?

I know on N/A builds, one of the old tricks was moving the IAC down stream next to the filter for an alleged better read? Is it worth doing on a FI setup and has anyone seen any real results from doing so? Thx!

How are you going to move your Idle Air Control motor, it is attached to the throttle body? Maybe you meant something else? MAF, or IAT sensors??? I have no MAF, running SD. My IAT sensor is right before the throttle body, and I am pushing 24# with my YSi.

He means the IAT sensor. If you think you have heatsoak issues then more it, all you have to do it cut 2 wies and solder extensions in and heatshrink everything.

You still want an accurate temperature reading of the (probably heated) boost air going in the motor though (i.e. don't measure the air temp before the superchager).

Yes, meant the IAT. After further thinking on my part, I'm just going to leave it there as I just thrown the Alky control system on so it should help quit a bit. Another month or so and off to the dyno (I hope).

Thx for the response.

Right in front of the TB is best. Tune around what your setup runs, don't try to trick the computer. If you want it to see cooler temps then more meth/intercooler, etc.
