latest dyno results

Re: latest dyno results
That is not bad at all for 8psi and the 224/236 cam is yours the low or the high lift version? I had the low lift version in my car for a while and it had huge splits on the TQ and HP also.

Re: latest dyno results
What exhaust do you have? Looks like there may be a VE problem up top, you have flat HP for a long duration. They either had a bad tach signal for that one run, or you have some sort of ignition breakdown.

Re: latest dyno results
Looks like the missing HP is partly in the AFR.
Just an experienced opinion but 11.0 is to rich for 8psi and on top of that alky. The alky lets you get away with a leaner mixture because the specific heat is almost twice that of gasoline (the real reason why alky is effective).. Its heat the compressed charge is carrying that your trying to remove with richer AFR's blower cars like. My point is at least 12.0 and if you want to go leaner remeber that you can make safer power than the exact same setup without the alky. Also make sure you have good timing when you spray alky.

Re: latest dyno results
Jeff Creech set up my car with Alky injection (same kit as this car) and since I was already running large boost (15#++) and a small nitrous shot, plus an intercooler, I didn't really know how it would all work together.
After talking with Jeff and Julio at alkycontrol.com I got to understand that while you CAN run the mixture leaner, and you might make more power on the dyno, it's not going to be as safe, nor have as good results on the dragstrip. Julio and Jeff both said over that while we can run it leaner and with more timing, the way to go faster more safely is more boost.
We went to a test and tune with a setup for 12.2:1, 11.5:1 and 10.8:1, and the 10.8:1 consistently showed better ETs and MPH (mid 9s versus high 9s).
So, Wicked_95, I'd pulley it up and leave the afr on the rich side!!
