I was just on vortech website and they say corvette Ls6 plus Super charger equals 538hp does that mean if you put vortech S/C on ls1 fbody with ls6 kit you will get same numbers?Other thing I noticed was that F body model S/c also comes with aftercooler type where as corvette S/C does not.So does this mean at 10psi with aftercooler you will get you 580hp on ls1 with ls6 kit?Anyone done this?I would really like to know?

 

I would think only a dyno can tell you that for sure. There isn't any formula's out there that can compute HP from the amount of boost is being applied that I know of. Too many factors, weather, condition of motor, ect.

 

Ok roughly would be fine ,LS6 plus supercharger someone must have done it?

 

those numbers seem a bit high, unless they are talking crank hp.

the LS6 conversion on a fbody yields around 375rwhp, on top of that running a SC and you would probably pick up a solid 100hp. so that makes 475rwhp which comes out to 530-540crank hp.

but that's alot of money to sink into an engine. the money for the h/c and THEN the money for the SC

 

But vortech says thats on a unmodified engine so there should be some more after you put bower friendly cam , 1.8 rockers, headers and exhaust etc on it right?

 

Those are numbers with the aftercooler and dead on dyno tunes. They advertise gains UP TO those numbers. Most people will see 480-520 at the tires on an LS1/6 Vette.
