haha, no joke!

freaking for the AN fittings I need its close to 500 alone.

I have a hookup for the turbo, wastegate, and piping, so those arent that big of a deal. I will get all those for about the price of my stupid fittings

haha thats it? Take that number and more than double it between the hoses and fittings... My cooling hoses (just to and from the radiator) is over $300...... looking good definitely aint cheap and -20 adds up!!

Made some more progress and ordered more parts. I welded in the motor plate bracketry and got the plate permanatley mounted. I also worked in a GTO automatic belt tensioner! I cut out the frame notch for the alternator. Still have to mount the alternator but the location is set just have to weld in the brackets. Welded up the water pump drive hole in the timing cover, painted it and the EFI connection cam sensor setup, got the whole kit installed and ALMOST forgot to cut down the cam dowl pin!

I also welded up some holes and added a AN bung to the intake manifold. can you tell what holes got filled on the intake? Its nothing major but it was an eye sore before and now for the first time EVER I actually like the way the LT1 intake looks I also welded AN bungs to the fuel rails.

Also notched the frame on the driver side to make room for the -10 AN drain line from the turbo.

I know its not a TON of progress but ive been trying to hit it for a couple hours 3-4 days a week and its starting to finnally take some shape...

What made you stick with a series setup vs a parallel setup?

I really didnt feel I needed to go parrallel and series was alot cleaner looking. If I have any issues Ill change it out to parrallel. I have been making some pretty good progress gettting the engine bay and all the little notches and hole cut in and smoothed. I got the alternator mounted and the notch filled in and smoothed out. I also notched the frame for the turbo oil drain. Im in the process of notching the Kframe to fit the 4" down pipe. Its tight as hell Through there and im hoping that increasing the exhaust to 4" will help negate the tight radius bends... we shall see

Im waiting for some stainless hardware to come in to get the intake and water pump mounted but this is where im at with the motor.

What a long *** day! Made some really good progress today engine bay is DONE! Blue your the man, Thanks! Some of the pics for some reason show up looking darker but the white is WHITE and really pops. I cant wait to see how the dark engine with the carbon fiber is going to look!

P.S. I dont think ill ever paint another engine bay without it being on the lift! it was SOOO easy to make sure the hard to reach places all got color. with the bar configuration theres still a couple areas that just got a light dusting but you cant see any of them.

For some reason there website is down. They are 359. Its a little pricey but I needed valve covers anyway and really didn't want the run of the mill aluminum valce cover look... I don't think I have anything on the car that's "typical" so why start now lol

Time for a little update. I got the flywheel/clutch installed and matted the two together for the final time. Started getting the Cross member TQ arm mount built and I have 90% of the 4" down pipe and boom tube exhaust tacked together. Its starting to take shape im off on vacation for the next two weeks, when I get back its getting the radiator and intercooler mounted and start working on the engine wiring harness and maybe fuel system.
