LT1 shortblock questions

This summer i am planning to build an engine. I have a 96 camaro z28 with the lt1. I want to go with Forged 383 bottom with low compression (9:1) for a future s/c. For h/c I was planning on getting the Le3 h/c from www.eportworks.com. I plan on making around 500-600rwhp from the s/c at around 15psi or higher. I dont really have a budget, but i was thinking around $2,500 for the bottom, about $2,000 for h/c and around $2,000 extra for other parts, electric waterpump, fully ported intake manifold, tune ect.

around $6,500 all said and done.

I was Just wondering if you guys had any suggestions or ideas for an engine that can handle a future s/c and over 500rwhp

Anyhting will help, Thank you

I suggest getting a head that has bigger than a 54-55cc combustion chamber (like the stockers have). Get some AFR or Trickflow heads. an al Eagle setup should get you where you want to go...and cheap too. Eagle forged cranks, eagle forged rods and SRP/JE forged pistons.
