Modification to FLX 220 fans for fitment?

I couldn't get those 4 palstic units to work either. I went down to Schucks and got those long plastic mounts for like a aftermarket tranny cooler. They just slide through the fins and use a snugging washer. I used 6 of them and working good so far, with about 2k miles on them. I mounted them as far up on the radiator as I could, so there is about 3 inches down low that are not covered. Hope this helps.

Cool, I just thought it was me w/ those plastic mounts.

I'll have to go to the local store and see what I can find. You wouldn't have any pics of yours by chance would you? I may go the route of metal zip ties if I can't find anything suitable. Thanks for the info!

I have the same griffin radiator but have yet to buy my fans for the setup. Sre there any other choices that fit better to the griffin? i would rather not hack at my new fans.

The fans may work for your griffin radiator. The modification I did was for fitment with the stock radiator.
