MSD6 BTM needed?

Is a Boost Timing Master needed when running a LSX computer and harness with a supercharged application, or does the LSX already have that built in?

I'm still not certain if I should just keep the LTX PCM and run an optispark with a BTM, or make the conversion over to LSX. I know my tuner would rather tune with the LSX system, but at $1700+ and switching to a single timing chain, I don't know if it'll be worth it. Anyone done it successfully yet?

No, you don't need it. I am running HP Tuners with the 3 bar operating system, and I have full control up to 315kpa. The car runs great, I actually logged the car breaking the tires loose at 118mph. The computer upgrade has been worth every penny.

So I wont need anything with the LSX conversion? Will the LSX PCM pull timing proportionally to the boost?

Will 80lb/hr injectors be too much for a D1SC 383 making around 700rwhp or will 60's suffice?

I've got an extra EFI Live license so I can log some runs when I finally get it running? Hopefully they will have BBL done by then.

The lsx PCM will pull the timing as long as you know how to command it (program). The timing chart is easy to change, mine pulls about .5 degree per # of boost. 80lb/hr should be fine, I think that 60's might be small.

BBL? EFI Live will work great too.

BBL=Black Box Logging- The ability to log and tune using the handheld FlashScan. You can log runs take it to your computer, make adjustment then reload a tune all without a laptop. It's great for someone like me who only has a desktop.

About how much do you have in your LSX conversion? I think I figured around $1700 minimum. Also do you use the drive by wire throttle body? I don't know if that would work with my Accufab 4150 style TB but it sure would make it easier.

You dont need a license to log... just to tune.

LSx PCMx can only handle up to a 63lb injector. There may be a way to trick it like tuning for boost on an LTx PCM but the tables only support a 63lb injector.

I'm planning to do the LSx PCM swap once I build my turbo setup. It's years away though.

True, but with my dyno tuner being 45 minutes away, it'll be faster/easier for me to make minor adjustments myself.

WRONG!!! I am running a 95# injector. The max value the table supports is 254lb/hr injector. Recheck your information..
