Need help with Twin Turbo setup
I have A 1994 Camaro that I fixing up and I really want twin turbos on it. I just want to know what should I do to the motor to handle about 30lb of boost or if I should just buy a new motor.

Boost is a measure of how much air the motor is NOT getting. 30lbs is ricer numbers or all out race on a domestic V8.
A well built LT1 on 15lbs is capable of 9s.
Combination Motorsports LT1 Impala is running 28-30lbs from a blower and runs low 9s also has traction problems past mid track.

Basically all you would need to do is tune the flux capacitor to make sure you are getting the proper 1.21 jiggawatts. LOL. I think you are way over shooting a practical amount of boost,(unless you are loaded). If you have to have "Twin turbos" I would just just do it like the sts turbo setup just run dual exuast like on the rustangs and build your own cutom setup.(If you can weld)

carefull, your post may be deleted..., anyway this guy needs to do a lot more research and figure out what is doable or even practical. First of all twin turbos are a waste of time, what do all the high hp supras and rx7's run? Thats right one huge single turbo, sure it takes a while to spool but with at least 350 cubes there not bad. Also the guy above is right saying you are runing xx pounds of boost is a ricer measurement. A t-76 and a t-25 from a 2g eclipse can both make 15 lbs of boost, you bet your *** the t-76 is flowing a hell of a lot more air though...take a few months and search this site in and out, you may be changing your mind.

With the right configuration, singles can be made to work well (TTi's LT1 kit excluded). Twins on a V8 are hardly a waste of time. There are many LT1's and LS1's sporting twins and making a lot of power. Why should we all ditch them and go sport T106's so we can be as laggy as supras??? From a fabrication standpoint single vs. twin it isn't much different. The hardest part of a kit is generally the headers. After that it is just large diameter tubing with easy access to weld anything needed! Hardly a waste of time! Build your own kit someday, it's fun!

ok, flame away i don't care, if he thinks he's going to run 30 psi out of twins on a lt1 i don't think he knows what he's geting into in the first place, nonetheless has the skills to fab up a twin turbo kit... I have actually though of making a turbo kit for my z but i'm still in school and its kind of a daily driver for me, also i don't have 5k and a tig welder to do it the right way. Anyway not to be a jackass about the whole thing, he just has a lot to learn, i by no means am an expert on any of this, just pointing out his goals are unrealistic.
