Unhappy New best

Or should i say, first time to the tracks widh the new setup?
Ok, had big trouble in the start, couldnt get it to hook at all. Best 60fot was 1.9x (new MH racemaster slicks 10.5x27-15), it hooked like crazy after 20-30ft and direct after the waterbox. Guess the thick layer of rubber on the start line and a HOT sun/wheater caused the biggest problem for us (heavy car "small" tires)
New best is 10.7 136.4 1/8 was 7.07 107.5
Last year in sig...

Re: New best

Good!!, you will do much better with good track prep. 136 mph is fast!! How much do you think it has left in it?

Re: New best

Dont know, was expecting 1.4x in 60fot, have installed QA1(r) in front, spohn torquearm, stock springs in rear (had lowering springs last year) so i guess 1.4x is possible.
Also have a "safe" tune 11.5-11.8 AF and 22.5 degrees timing, so a few degrees more shouldnt be any problem (im running FMIC and alky injection)
So at a decent track and a normal summer temperature i aming for 9.9x.
The biggest problem know is that the new converter stalls a little low, but thats better than the last one that stalled way to high...

Re: New best

Ake,
Hello, good mph

Now get that 60 ft down and you'll be in the 10 flat-high 9 second range.
I've got stock f&r springs/f&r shocks/front tires/a-arms w/ 27x11x15 Hoosier QTP's and I'm cutting 1.4X sixty foot (Best was 1.44).

If you're running Alky, then throw a little more timing at it

Great times. I don't mean to be an idiot, but are you still running the P1SC and ported heads or the F1 and TFS heads. If you don't mind, I would also like to know what cam you are running. Your car is putting up some extreme MPH numbers.

Its F1 and ported TFS heads now (17psi) the cam is an custom from Bret Bauer (22x-23x) works really well, nice street maners and pulls like crazy at higher RPMs...

Congrats on the times def not too shabby mph is pretty good.
i traped 109.1 1/8th but due to slow shifting and 3.23s lost some mph up top and could only pull 133.
You should def see low 10s the way its sits now with some good traction, ditch the M&Hs and get some Et Streets/Drags those hook alot better.
good luck

I bought a set of 26x11.5-15 ET street last year, didnt use them so much becuse of a LOT of 4l60e problems but this spring when we start to race i couldnt get them to hook at all on cold asfalt, the new MH slicks outpreform them easy on ordinary streets (were i do the most racing) so i hope that they should work OK on a good track also...
Ps tried to buy ET-drags but it wasent any shop in sweden that had those in stock (most shops makes/takes order in early spring and shipped them by boat) and my ET streets was almost new so....
