I am running stoker compared to him not... also that stroker comes free for the cost reduction of LT1 vs LS1.

If I was starting out empty I would hands down buy LS1. Only an idiot would say/think otherwise. I thought about selling my LT1 before tearing into it until I did the math... WOW. Would have cost almost $8K more to get me where Im at now (more for supercharger.. more for machine work.. more for porting). Would have saved $550 on distributor though. Plus the T56 with the LS would have crapped out long ago = ~$1500.

I love the LS1.. LS2..LS7!! AMAZING motors.. just cost more. If you can do one thing two different ways and nobody would know what you used..., one for less cost then what would you do?
Now, add a free CAR (maybe cause you allready own it) and the fact that your going to boost it and ~2-4psi is all that seperates the two if everything is truely equal... then generating 2-4extra psi is really pretty cheap.

Naturally aspirated hands down LS1 wins everything. Golly, I even left my screened MAF installed (though Im in speed density) cause I dont even care cause of the super charger.

Now.. to address your suggestion "I'd also be willing to bet that you won't pick up another 195rwhp with 7 more psi"... , no but I might make 710rwhp (+30hp compared to the LS1 allready been proven here with same heads + I have "better cam" yea I forgot about the extra supercharger load... nice catch) Sorry link wont directly transfer...

look at 200cc LT1's 15psi dyno... 15psi = 710rwhp only 6000rpm limited by one 3" exhaust. That's what made me realize.

Now, I'm allready making MORE power than that combo (when both run at 7psi) because of the cam... plus I was still climbing in HP steady when I hit 6200rpm rev limiter... bla bla bla.

Then... I hear about HIGH boost LS1 problems (4bolts/cyl or something)... more$$$.

Gees, you guys are harsh!

Am I the only one that took his comment to be completely innocent? He even put the "LOL" at the end.

Nice numbers.

i'll rep the lt1's a little here.....

SAME exact boost about 13.5psi corrected numbers only pulled to 4800 because it was making too much for my fuel system. ohh btw lt1 heads not lt4, ported by me.

just messing here but conventional sbc is no slouch....
