just the name, otherwise they are the same thing.

Caprice was the lower end impala.

I would really get into something LS powered though, LTs are going the way of the dodo

I totally didnt even look at the thread starter lmao, I take my decisions back on the 5.0 bc you will never make money on those kits as they are a dime a dozzen.

Even a LS 4th gen would have a decent turnout, bc alot of LS guys go turbo with no cheap solutions really.

Staying with an LS platform would bring in some good money tho, its the new fad!

When did the ls motors start in the trucks? Also, the 5.3 and 6.0L should be the same if building a kit off of them right?

the 5.3 and 6.0 and 4.8 are all the exact same as an LS1.

They started (5.3) in 99.

Just something to consider. Between 1998 (1999 model year) and 2009 GM sold 9.6 million Silverado or Sierra pickup trucks.

I vote for the Impala SS/Caprice. Just make sure it is an LT1 Caprice. It can be your LT1 swan song before going to the LS dark side.

C4 vet. You never see any nice ones these days. Especially ones that put down some power.

I would make it a grand sport clone. Aside the red leather.

Lots of neat ideas, but if you are thinking of a kit to sell..... Go with something that had big production numbers and is still on the road. Truck/SUV would be good.

A lot of people know/trust you now so even an ls car would not be a terrible idea. Yes there is some competition.

If we ever start selling kits an 05+ Mustang will be high on our list. Hope to start mine as a test mule early next year.

I know Dustin (10secgoal on ttf), is working on 05+ gt500 kits, doesnt seem to be many people that make stuff for those mustangs. BG has their hand in the fox bodies, just find something that is common for people to mod, but no big name's involved in them is the best bet. Trucks have trick performance, whom most people have never heard of.

Personally I like the idea of doing something really different. Like taking a cheep but good condition Porsche 944 (there are a million out there for really cheep), and doing the setup in it.

If you are stuck with your original options, then I vote to a 2nd gen F-body, just because I would love to see it done, and if I had the time and money, thats what I would to a FI setup in.
