Update for those that might ever run into this problem and search:

I moved the B&M tranny cooler from the front of the radiator and into the nose piece area...currently looking for a fan to put on it or just get one with a fan. It seems to be getting good air though.

I did a complete flush of the rad and filled it will only water and 'water wetter' for the summer...and bled and bled and bled the system.

I added an air dam to the intercooler behind the nose piece.

All of the above dropped the temperature considerably, but it still wanted to run above 225 when cruising with the A/C on during the hot part of the day.

My tranny was shot, so I just recently installed a CPT unit with a vigilante lock up style converter. Now the car barely tags 215. I guess the slipping from the bad tranny was generating a ton of heat.

...problem seems to be resolved for now!

I run a Be_Cool with Evans NPG. Poly-glycol. No thermostat. Runs ice cold. But, I am in MI. I does get 90's here, and, still cold running (not even to the 160* mark). My app... 97ss 383 D1 MM6. I run my IC under the front bumper near the K-member. Hope this helps. B.

You dont have a thermostat in there at all? I was told you couldnt do that with an lt1 pump because when it opens, it blocks off the by-pass tube directly below it. Without the thermostat base to block the by-pass, I heard it doesnt circulate properly. Id guess being in MI makes a big difference though than being in texas. I dont think doing this in a hot state would be a good plan.

Yes, no T_stat with Evans NPG. I had to fabricate a device to replace the T_stat with a plug for the WP internal bypass. Evans recommended no T_stat with running the NPG media. Of course, no one makes a T_stat bypass, so, I had to do myself. B.
