PCV system set up for turbo....???
#17
Supercharger and Turbo motors are known to have more blowby than NA engines by design. With larger ring gaps and pressurized air going into the cylinders its a fact of life. I thought something was wrong with my engine when I saw little puffs of smoke coming out of the breather hole at idle. Several compression tests and leak down tests later I confirmed that my engine was very healthy.
90% of the time my motor sees is under vacuum instead of boost. So I left the stock PCV system alone except I run the passenger side breather hose to a vented catch can and block off the throttle body port. I've tried running it to the intake of the blower and it makes an oily mess inside your blower and intercooler.
The stock PCV valve is a one way check valve and does not leak boost. I've tested this by running the pcv valve into the drivers compartment and have an assistant feel for leaks under boost.
The PCV hose is like a vacuum cleaner when in vacuum and cleans out your engine crankcase and makes the oil last longer.
