Similiar to my buddies 9 second 3rd gen except he's on a stock shortblock 6.0, otherwise the mods are real close. Should be a FAST ride!

Well I did some tuning, made about 15 pulls on the street last night! Running a 2bar SD tune on 19*timing 8psi. Car pulls great 2-3 first gear seems super slow, i think ill be pulling the 3.00 gear in place for a 3.25 or so. When I bought the gear i was planning on only revving to 6000 with the lt1, the LS I want to shift around 6900ish,
Oh weill ill just trans brake it

I also need alot more injector at 6250rpm (max ive went to so far) I see 90% duty.
Im running 60# with 58psi base pressure so they are close to 70#

Leave the gear in it, you might be spinning in 1st is why it feels slower. That gear is great and will leave you room to mph higher in the future. Plus it makes it more driveable and you should still be able to net 1.4 60fts easily with it.

Well I ordered 80#ers, im gonna try some trans breaking before I buy a gear also, but my second gear shift point with the 3.00 is 124mph! May work out after I up to 15psi but still alot more gear then I will ever use.

Even then you need to go to more than 3.25 as it won't be much different. I'm only running 3.55's in my rx7 with a 33" tall tire, I prefer this if you drive it on the street as it makes the highway rpm lower. Plus once you crank up the power you'll like the lower gear more.

So great news, the oil pressure seemed low after tuning, I changed up to 15w40 and a new filter, still seeing low oil pressure on the highway and crusing. would really go over 30ish crusing while warm. Brought the filter in to the engine builder and cut it open just to find a ton of bronze in it. So Im yankin the motor or at least the bottom end out tonight.

sucks bc i had next weekend booked off work and a trailer lined up so i can race a big local event.

Hopefully i wont see too much down time, once its running again im driving it every day so i can break it in!
