Procharger oil (there is got to be something else i can use )

I don't like mail ordering every time i need oil and paying their Hi prices for their mystery oil.. I use my car allot and like to change it every 2000-2500 miles. (with my regular oil changes).

So I am looking for something off-the-shelf.

I find it hard to believe procharger makes it's own oil and there got to be anther oil i can use...

Imo i still think the oil it to thin ... i have yet to see a procharger without oil in the intake...

please as I see form other posts (to use their oil only!!!) I find that as crap and most don't know what there are talking about or don't even own a procharger and only go by what they read from procahrger...(of course they don't want you finding out that there oil is like someone elses) yes they make a great head unit but most of there other stuff is overpriced (just like their tensioners (which are junk) belts and that stupid orange hose they used for the lt1's (again this is my own opinion ).

need some good advice on oil and if you state just to use the procharger oil please explain why and what makes their oil so golden (i have yet found a technical explanation on that fact).

Thank you

I'd almost be willing to bet they're just using a motorcycle type oil with anti-frothing additives in their blowers. I freely admit I don't have a Procharger (Vortech guy). If you really wanted to be sure you could always have their oil analyzed to see just what's in it.

BTW, ATI is no different from other companies out there. The stupid oil feed fitting that my Vortech uses is only made by Vortech and costs $55. They all bend you over when you need something and generally charge you extra for lube (or oil).

No clue what oil ATI uses in their self contained units, but 97ws6 is on the same idea that i'm on. Motorcycle oil is formulated to lubricate gears (transmission), wet clutches, withstand HIGH rpm... so I happened to switch completely over to standard 10w-30 motorcycle oil in my car when i installed the oil fed blower.
