Questions on Vortech Supercharger From Summit

Is this a good kit? Would I be able to bolt up the whole system and just drive the car not worrying about it being unreliable? How much horsepower would you guess it would make? Don't know too much about supercharging besides it makes good power....... If you could help me out, that would be great. Would my stock transmission be fine with this?

The Vortech kit will net you about 125 rwhp. I dyno'd 370 rwhp with this kit with a stock engine and JBA headers/cat back through a M6. As far as reliability, at some point you'll be looking at rebuilding the bottom end. Mine came 17K miles after I supercharged, some people have gotten a lot more. The stock pistons can only handle so much heat, short blasts are fine but if you do any kind of road racing (20 minutes sessions) you're going to crack your ring lands.

Do a search on this board, there's a lot of good information on blowers.

You'll be fine, i have a friend that has a Vortech on his T/A and its real streetable. He put something like 410 down to the ground and it runs fine, you'll be sweet.

Vortech has a great kit IMO. Everything is very organized, packaged well, and checked.
I would look at Tom Byrnes site also, I bought mine from him at a good price.
Just go with the stock 3.33" blower pulley/6.00" crank and you should be fine.
I'm hoping for around 12 psi boost on my motor.
