Yes, the stock balancer works fine, just make sure you retorque the bolts down to spec.

I would think it would be more like 20hp/lb, so +110rwhp or ~500rwhp like your looking for..?

Common logic would have one believe this, however you cannot always "stack" horsepower. That same "good cam" and heads isn't likely to be the optimal design for supercharging if it makes that much power N/A. Blower cams need to be milder to make use of the blower via a good cylinder fill....which will generally make less power N/A without the blower than an N/A cam. Most Powerdyne users with appropriately matched heads and cam only make 425-440 rwhp ....so I will likely even fall short of 450 if I stay with it to be honest with you. The lack of efficiency (compressor mapping) doesn't help the little PD much either....it is really best left on a stock motor or a mild motor with modest power goals.

LMW, I was unable to play the video due to my 21,600 bps connection .....waited for 1/2 hour and got nothing but a blank white screen....thanks for trying though. If anyone has a regular video that will play in Media Player that's what I'd like ...thanks.

I wish mine sounded that good at idle. Guess if I was using my 15 lb pulleys it would, but that isn't happenning anytime soon.

Unhappy

Anyone have a media player video of a P600B or either S-Trim? I have searched and searched and cannot find anything!

I emailed you two clips, one of a P600B and one of a T-trim.

Exactly. To add to that I've also been through the expense of a dyno tuning fiasco that set me back 3K ....now a rebuild that will set me back close to 7K which was probaby caused by the dyno tuning . That is why I can't accept the idea of settling for much less than 500 rwhp at this point.....if I've been through all of this nightmare stuff, by God I'm going to get something worthwile out of it.

My engine will have studded 2-bolt mains (ARP), a reconditioned forged crank from a 1-ton truck, Scat 4340 I-beams, Speed Pro Dished forged pistons, Federal Mogul coated bearings, a keyed hub, static CR of ~9.5:1 ......so I think 9-10 PSI intercooled or non intercooled will be handled well by this combo and still allow pump gas as long as I'm conservative on timing and keep it kinda rich. Do you all agree? I know the CR could be a little lower but it was designed for the Powerdyne ....I still think it would be ok though as long as I stay at 10 PSI or less.

I'm not sure "20hp/lb" is a valid constant...Maybe on a turbo, but not on a supercharger given how much horsepower it takes to drive it. Even at low boost levels it takes a bit of energy to turn the s/c that fast...You have to get past a certain amount of boost before it cancels out and makes more power than just not having it at all, which in my opinion is just a little under what he's running. Bumping it up a little higher will make huge gains, IMO.

Thanks ....finally some videos I can view. It's kind of hard to tell from the video what the whine on yours really sounds like (as you said it's from behind as you're leaving) ...but from what I could hear it didn't sound so loud to me. Just curious ...what cam are you using, sounds a little big and nasty or in need of tuning one or the other. Either way your car and the T-Trim car both sound awesome
