MM, please leave the Rob Raymer bashing for LS1Tech.com, we don't need it over here.

rob, sorry i didnt put your salesman spin on my words. i was just keeping it short and sweet and answering the questions that were brought up.

once again i am completely fine with the numbers you are posting, they dont mean anything to me... what they can mean to other people is what i would like to make as crystal clear as possible.

if you are happy with an 11.20 at 137mph with 775rwhp then good for you, thats what you would have had.

i heard the tires squawk on the shifts and saw them spin off the line, tell somebody else how easy you were driving it.

why should i feel sorry i posted?

Yea, I must have really been giving it hell....with a 2.10 60ft and all.

I noticed in your Sig you went a slower 11.36 with a 1/2 second quicker 60ft. What's that tell ya?

Sucks to be you. All that money and still less power than a stock motor with our kit.

The bad thing is, I had said nothing but good things to you about your car and your kit on LS1Tech. Yet you just can't let it go. You are such a crybaby.

anybody wants to know what turbo system i used to get that 11.3 with please contact qmp. havent run the new stuff yet... still in transit.

when i DO get it on the track it wouldn't surprise me to lay over 135 through the traps on 93 octane only.

Rob,

Just checked out the vids and I have a few questions: do you have any vids with the cutout closed? i'd like to hear exactly how quiet this is through full exhaust. Also, after watching the in-car video where the camera is focused on the AF and FP gauges, I began to wonder what fuel pressure regulator you are running? It seems to be at 60 psi static, but once the boost hits, there is no compensation, thus FP drops. If that is the case, isn't this thing hard to tune?

Jesse

Stock regulator, stock fuel rails and lines, single walbro 340 pump in the tank.

I don't think I have any vids with the cut-out closed. But I can guarantee you this...it's quieter than a stock LS1 with no cats. You can't really even hear the turbo at all when it's capped up.

Nice Robb , I saw you run , so did 50 other friends of mine . Those of us who have seen you run where impressed , knowing the car is faster then the times you got out of it . Track conditions did suck..Badd!

There where quite a few of us making a ruckus about the Formula . Knowing it is capable of more then the times it ran ,
Like you said .

Rob,

Got a couple of questions if you don't mind. How are you not going static with those injectors at that power level? How do you keep head gaskets in it with that boost and only 10 bolts around the cylinders? How are you pulling off 13 psi with the factory compression?

I'm doing a twin-turbo project myself and initially was going to use an LS-1. The lack of head bolts and reported block strength under boost made me decide on another direction. On the injector size, I just dynoed a friends ProCharged 406 and with 55# injectors and 60 psi of fuel pressure they were static at 560 rwhp. We ended up making 691 rwhp with 14 psi of boost (406) but had to put 75# injectors in there to keep the duty cycle down. I know that turbos are much more efficient than centrifugals (the ProCharger bsfc is in the high 5's) so that's part of it. But I would have never thought you could make that amount of power with such a small injector.

Wish I would have found you a few months ago!

Jody
