Nice numbers for certain. I'm really intrigued by the STS turbo system. How does it sound at idle? Does the turbo take the place of your muffler?

Yes, the turbo takes the place of the muffler. IMO it sounds pretty sweet at idle, and it only gets better from there.

Thanks for the quick responses. I hope you intend to get some tracks times when you get the chance...

Is there any signs of excessive heat build up near the underbody? I would expect that cooling is excellent while at speed, but what about at idle?

Hey disasm,
Congrats on the first kit. Do u have Autotap or EFI live? I was wondering if u can drive the car around and monitor the IAT. I would like to see how the IAT will get affected since there is no intercooler. Also did u drive ur car in the rain or not yet? Any problems with the filter being down there behind the tires?

No, I have not seen any signs of excessive heat. Also keep in mind that the turbo takes the place of the muffler and there is some factory heat shielding in that area.

I have driven the car in the rain and also in the snow. I have seen no problems with the filter down behind the tires.

As far as intake temperatures, you should be able to find the test results on the STS Turbo website.
