I think S400's around $600 right? Its a nice cheap turbo, but its heavy as hell, large in outside dimensions and probably will be a bit laggy depending on your combo.
Yea sorry about the detail on the motor. I was planning on a 355 to once again keep the budget down. I am not looking to make 1000rwhp perhaps 800 on race gas and around 600 on pump. My intake is also ready for direct port and I actually have a direct port kit but I just have not installed it yet. So if there is a little bit of lag then I can run a small shot to get by. I also don't mind spinning the motor to 6500+ rpms which can help with the lag too.

I'm pretty sure there are people who sell the S400 with a T4 flange but as soon as it gets the T4, the price goes up to almost 1000 bucks! I have also run across good deals on S400 where you can pick one up for ~400.

Thanks for your input. BTW, I am the one who bought your old slp turbo headers.

Haha! That was awhile ago. Are you using the headers?

I'd use the SLP's ... those ones in the link only have a5/16" thick header flange... I wouldnt go below 3/8" pesonally.

I'm using an SLP on my passenger's side unmodified. I used an SLP shorty on the driver's side, but basically just for the flanges.

Yeah, its a BW. Its a big ****, too! Ran into a little issue trying to get my griffin radiator and flex a lite fans to fit. Even with the radiator relocation mod. We'll get her done, though.
