Turbo, 11lbs of boost.....boom?

I am currently running a 355ci LT1 with forged pistons 9.5:1 with stock rods and crank. At 9lbs of boost I am right around 510-520rwhp which is considered safe with my set up. I am going back for more tuning after the install of my Bosch 420 inline fuel pump. Here is my question. I would like to put the 11 lb spring in to run 2 more lbs of boost (probably 550 rwhp). My question is, as long as everything is tuned well and my air fuel is good, do you think my engine can handle the additional power or will I blow it?

Any thoughts or opinions?

Thanks

Thanks for the response. I have already had the engine taken apart and re-done int he past year so I do not want to upgrade it any further (unless I have to) so I would like to keep it as is.

I would think you will be fine as long as you have a safe tune. The rods and crank in our engines are fairly stout. Any more than 11 psi, I would be worried.

Dont go by boost numbers, go by hp/tq. I'd say at the 550rwhp your pushing the rods/bolts. Since you have forged pistons they are no longer the weak link. I'd try and do the rod bolts like someone else suggested. Keep the A/F fat and timing low.

I ran my stock rods/crank motor up to 18psi and made the power in my sig. I wouldn't worry about anything, though I had ARP rod bolts. Keep the rpm's below 6000 to keep the rods happy.
