Turbo Build For Jason Short

Re: Turbo Build For Jason Short
I know Rich and a few others made around 700 rwhp with stock lines & regulators and they said they were on the edge for the most part. I don't think E85 will work out so well at that level with the stock lines because you'll need even more volume.

I went 767/712 on stock lines in Dec 10 and am going back with more boost on the same setup on Monday. I think the stock lines will go quite a bit further.

Jason... any updates? Looks like I *may* be contracting in your area again, sometime in July. I'll be driving my car there if everything comes together on the job.

Hey Dave,
Great to hear from you! That would be great to have you back in Rochester I hope it works out.
Let's see....
The car is up and running, although just naturally aspirated right now. I've been working with my local buddy on tuning it. I've put about 75 miles on the car over the past few weeks. I've made alot of changes to the car all at once, so it was best for me to just put a set of headers on it and work on getting all the bugs out in NA form before putting the turbo setup on.
Other than just finalizing some part throttle driveability in the tune, the car is running perfectly. No leaks, EFI Connection 24x setup functioning perfectly, no overheating, etc..
I am going to make a couple changes to the car over the next few weeks though. I was originally planning to sell my 12 bolt and buy a Strange S60 rear; however, I found a MWC Fabricated 9" that I am finalizing the deal on. It has everything I want: 35-spline, Wavetrac differential, backbrace, etc.. Right now it currently has a 3.00 gear in it, but I'll most likely be going to a 3.25 or 3.50 gear.
Additionally, I've decided to sell my Mufflex 4" exhaust. It sounds absolutely incredible, but I am looking to make my new turbo setup a little more "stealthy". Therefore, I'll be going back to my 2OTL catback.
So, the plan is to make those few changes now, put a few hundred more miles on it following, and then move forward with putting the turbo setup on

Re: Turbo Build For Jason Short
I am not really sure of where the car guys hang out during the week. I know there are different car show/meets around town during the week, but I never go to any of them. A few of us will occasionally meet at the track, but that is usually about it.
With that said, I am back in town from traveling the past few weeks for work. I plan to do some work on my car tomorrow and next week and you are welcome to stop by

Re: Turbo Build For Jason Short
Sorry, I've been trying for a month to get my email reregistered so I could post again. The fuel system was fine, the car however, fought tooth and nail. We ended up only going to 13lbs and made 650/555 on a mustang dyno. I'm going back later this month now that I've corrected the issues.
