Who runs an oil cooler

Just wondering if there is any benefit from running the factory oil cooler? GM stopped putting these on the 97 camaros(maybe other years) there must be a reason for this, such as no benefit? What are your thoughts?

The only advantage I see is that it will have a thermal equilibrium on all its fluids. You are cooling a 220 F oil with 190F water??? It would be a good idea to run cooler water there...
