1994 camaro issues
Hello first of all my name is john, i recently bought a used 94 camaro. v6, 3.4l camaro. has 146k miles on it. when i bought it the car started, but than the next day it didnt. so i had it towed to a repair shop where it was worked on for about a week. the guy told me it was a bad fuel pump and crank sensor. so he repaired all of it and did a tune up. car runs geat now... when it starts. now heres the issue and i know it can be anything but hoping for some sort of direction to be told in where to go or look. the car cranks, but sometimes wont start right away. either it starts right up, or it doesnt so i try again and it starts. he changed the plugs out but not sure if the oil was changed yet. so i am hoping someone might have some ideas on what can be done with it. like last night when i came out of work i tried to start it was around 9pm didnt start at all til a few attempts later. it cranks but doesnt turn over right away.

Can be caused by lack of fuel pressure. Put a pressure gauge on it. Turn the key to "on" without tryihg to start the engine. Fuel pressure should prime to above 40psi. When the pump stop, after a couple seconds, the presure should hold 40psi, and not drop rapidly.

Ok will do. How can I do that? And would have thought the auto shop would have done that themselves . Like today cranked cranked sounded like it didn't want to turn over, hard to describe almost like when its cranking and than wants to just die off but than picks back up. Driving me crazy since they put in a new pump and filter!

There is a "Schrader valve" pressure test port on the fuel supply hard line, or on the fuel rail. I don't know exactly where it is on the V6 engine. I'll check my Chiltons when I get home.

The SES light does not come on because the oil needs to be changed. It comes on because the PCM has determined that one of the sensors, or PCM parameters is outside the normal operating range. Scan it for codes.
