Found a Universal Fuel Level Sending Unit
So, in my quest to find a replacement fuel level sender, I came accross this product by DATCON. I found it on autopartswarehouse. Has anyone had any experience with this? If so, what unit should I get? The 240 to 33.5 ohms or the 76 to 10 ohms unit? If anything, $65 for a unit is not much to test it out if no one has tried.
Also, did the access door panel for the fuel pump.. Thank god someone took the time to get the measurements. Well worth the time and effort. To seal it up, I took a small piece of alum, drilled some holes around the edges and in the body frame, took some silicone sealer and rivits and thats all she wrote. Thanks again.

Re: Found a Universal Fuel Level Sending Unit
From your comment about the "access door panel" I'll guess that you are asking about a 4th Gen???? If that's the case, Shoebox has info on the fuel gauge system:
http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#fuel_gauge
From the numbers quoted in that, it would appear the stock sensor produces a resistance range of 90 - 0 ohms.
Why not add a "Signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods. That way, when people try to help, they will have all the info they need.

No, i did. Sorry should have said thanks. And it did help me out. Thanks. I was also wondering if anyone has used this brand. When i did a search on here i read a lot about people not having luck with aftermarket senders. Just wunderin if that is the case for this too.
