Fuel pump does not prime intermittently
Hello all,
steal dealing with problems on my camaro
anyways. The new problem is as follows:
The fuel pump will not prime intermittently. when I turn the key to crank, fuel pressure will be at less than 5, ill turn the key to off and then back to on and it will prime correctly. This doesnt happen all the time. 85% of the time it primes correctly the other times I might have to turn it off and on several times until the pumps kicks in. my Fuel pump is loud so I can here when it kicks in and when it doesnt. In an attempt to fix this issue, I have replaced the pump, the fuel wiring harness, the fuel filter, fuel regulator and fuel relay. The problem happens intermittently and has left me stranded on two different occasions where it would not kick the pump in after several on/offs with the key.
other things that I have replaced are the Opti, the ignition switch, battery, sparks and wires. I also bypassed vats using the resistor trick.
What am I not seeing here? what could be the culprit?

Re: Fuel pump does not prime intermittently
Use your imagination and rig a way to monitor (meter, light...) the fuel pump relay command from the PCM. If it works every time, then move your monitor to the output of the relay toward the pump. That should help narrow it down.
