Re: lt1 no spark
thanks shoebox i tested my msd coil came up with 5.382 ohms at all 4 points ive tested the opti with the information on your page I had 10v on terminals a and d, an 4v ac on terminal b while cranking. Im not sure it isnt my opti though i was bleeding my coolant after a vertical radiator swap and the car started fine 3 times... I pull it in the garage it sets for 3 days and i get no spark is it possible that the antifreeze got into the opti while setting and still test out ok? also icm i swapped out with a friends with no difference and disconnected my msd 6al. An still nothing any ideas guys?

Re: lt1 no spark
Check the current thread on the LT1 Based Engine Tech forum, with regard to relocating an ICM that was being severely overheated in the stock location, apparently due to the use of non-coated headers.

Re: lt1 no spark
Hi Scott, Did you ever solve this problem with the crank no start? I'm having the same issue with my 1994 Trans A/M. I have stock coil, stock ICM, both which I replaced a few years ago. My Optispark went out about 6 months ago so I got the MSD all billet Opti, put it in with new water pump. Car ran better then it ever has super happy with the MSD Opti. Then one day no start just cranks just like you posted. Did you ever solve your problem? I have checked everything to the best of my ability and still nothing.

"scottnorton" has not been active on the site for 3 months. You might want to send him an e-mail.
Have you scanned it for codes? Have you checked the fuel pressure? Did you Loc-Tite the MSD Opti rotor screw before installing it? Have you verified spark or no spark at the plugs? ..... at the coil?
