problem

I HAVE A 96 CAMARO Z28..
i HAVE A PPROBLEM WITH IT AND WAS WANDERING IF SOMEONE CAN HELP.
It started right after I gased up the tank. about 20min later it started missing at 4000 rpm and then got worse. and now it wont hardly run. It will start every morning but once it gets warmed up a little it dies and will not start back up. intill it gets very cold again. I didnt know if this could be from bad gas ( water in the tank) or a fuel problem. please help about to just get rid of the car from all the problem I have had with it.

Could be wrong, but it sounds like the fuel pump is going out? It's fine when cold, but seizes up after it heats up...I'm pretty sure I've heard from others that it's a sure sign of a dying fuel pump...

Thanks, I think so to. I had a new one put in about 2 years ago. It does backfire a bunch when it does run and strong fuel odor outside too. Any body have any more thoughts

You will need a test gauge to rule out fuel pump pressure problems.
