Question Starter not cranking...PLEASE HELP!!

I have a 1969 camaro that i am restoring. Here is my issue. I stripped my interior and removed my instrument cluster to sand down and remove all the rust in my interior. After completing the inside paint, i connect the grounds under dash (without connecting the gauges) and connected the battery terminal. Now my car wont crank. I turn the key and nothing happens to the starter however when i turn to crank position, the TEMP light flashes. The car started up just fine before i took my interior apart. I have a fairly new fuel pump also. It seems as though the car was an original automatic but the previous owner converted to muncie 4 speed so im not sure if its a neutral safety switch issue (i do not see a safety switch on my clutch pedal). Any help diagnosing this will much appreciated.

Sounds like you need a wiring diagram. Normally there is a purple wire from the ignition switch that goes to the S terminal on the starter solenoid. It must have 12v when the key is in the START position for the starter to engage. I would be checking that out.
