1984 z28 electrical, and a/c issues

I have an 84 camaro and it has several electrical issues, i was wandering if anybody has any ideas about what might cause them.

1. whenever i turn on my my dash lights the tach stops working, the oil pressure gauge goes to zero, the gas gauge goes to empty, and the right blinker light stays on (no blinking, and only in the dash display, when you turn the right blinker on it acts normal and blinks). it has the stock guage cluster
(0-85mph, and kph on the other side) it goes back to normal when you turn the dash lights off.

2. the air conditioning blows fuses, even while it is unplugged from the compressor (it has a new stock compressor), but it still automatically turns on the radiator fan when the a/c is turned on with the fuse blown. the blower works with a good fuse if it is on vent or heat, but it only blows through the windshield vents and not through any others, like when defogging the windshield.

3. the passenger side headlight is dimmer than the drivers side (low beams), they both have the same bulbs and they are both new.

I appriciate any help and ideas any of you might have.

thanks

These are not really "Advanced Tech" questions. They should be posted on "General 67-02 F-Body Tech". I'll move the post there.

I notice you also posted this on the electronics & audio forum. We prefer that you post only once, on the correct forum. Thanks.

#1 & #2; sounds like shorted light switch and HVAC switch. A lot of the grounds for the dash are connected together, so if your light switch is shorted to ground it may be "back feeding" the gages. If the A/C fuse blows with the compressor disconnected then it almost has to be in the dash switch. The blinker may be a different problem. I would work on one at a time. Fix the short/s then see what the blinker's doing.
I would remove the lower panels, HVAC controls, and radio to gain as much access to the wiring behind the dash as possible. By removing individual connectors you may be able to isolate the short. A good Multimeter for checking volts, continuity, etc. is a must.
#3; is probably a bad ground or corrosion at the head light connector.
Generally, this car is getting old. I would want to check all the grounds, I could get to, for corrosion, condition, etc.
