Angry 1987 iroc clutch/trans

i have a 1987 iroc with a 305tpi and a 5 speed man trans. my problem is i have noticed on warmer days and after driving for awhile the trans gets hard to shift at first everything is ok but after its drove for awhile it feels like you can feel the teeth of the gears when you shift or if you stop its a little tight or hard to get it into first(try to get it into first before a complete stop) also can be a bit of a bear to get it into fourth. if i back up i have to put it in fifth and quickly back into rev or its a bear or that nasty grind. let car sit awhile and all is ok till it warms back up. help ideas please.

What does the manual say? The newer T56's use ATF.

People are saying use ATF if you're not sure which version T-5 you have.. and you'll be fine.

Definately find out what the transmission came out of, year and make. Because IROCs, to my knowledge, never had a manual.

I think it was only the 350's that never got the T5 because it was too weak..... he has a 305. The T5 was made available with the 305's in 1987.
