3.8L Camaro stopped running at hwy. speed.
Here I am just minding my own business driving at a steady 60 mph along the highway when suddenly, the engine simply stops running. Pulled over and cranked it. Turns over but no fire. One day earlier, I had to crank the engine a few rotations more than usual (it fires up after just a turn or two turns). I thought it might because the drop in temperature (47 degrees vs 60 degrees the day prior). But nope. Still won't start - even after letting it sit for half a day. No code warning. Good oil pressure and level. Please don't tell me its the fuel pump. Even the filter has less than a year on it. New EGR too. Suggestions?

Have you actually scanned it for codes? There are some codes that don’t turn the SES light on.
What year is the car? There can be subtle differences from year to year - example: 1999 and newer 3.8L V6 have a complicated electronically operated throttle body (no cable) that can cause a number of problems.
I will also move this to a different forum. This is posted in the “LS1 Based Engine Tech” forum, which is for the V8 engine.

Don't waste your time...... he signed off a 1/2-hour after his first post above. Here we are 6 weeks later, and he has never signed back into this site since then.
Couldn't have been that big of a problem.
Annoying.
