6 or 8

Ok...now...I used to have a 84 black iroc. Yes...I know...an 84 Iroc...it was the pace car test model. Fun car, but it was severely beat when I bought it. It was my first car, and I enjoyed the heck outta it. She was my baby. Well...That went on me, and my next move was a 1994 6 banger. And for those of you who know those cars, it had the 3.4L That was my baby. It was also the slowest "muscle car" around. But that got totaled about 3 weeks after me buying it, when some chick hit the passenger side of it, and bent the frame about 3 feet. Yes...that's right 3 feet bent in a PARKING LOT!!! But I digress...now...I am looking for a beater until...take a guess...WHAT YEAR?!?!?!?!?...that's right...2007!!!! Because I will be the proud new owner of a 2007 5th generation 8 cylinder camaro. Most likely orange...if not...candy apple red. But in the mean time...WHAT SHOULD I GET?!

Never heard of a pace car test model. And never heard of any IROC's in '84 either.

And how do you knwo if/when the new Camaro comes out that they will come in orange or candy apple red colors...

2007 is still a long way off, and it might not even be 'til 2008 that the Camaro returns, so in the meantime I'd say ditch that 6-banger and get a real engine. Step up to at least an LT1, and welcome to the big leagues.

If your just looking for a beater and have to have an f body, I'd go with a early fourth gen V6 camaro in the best condition for the cheapest you could find. If your not set on a f body, I'd go with a early 90's model S10...It seems like you can beat the **** out of them and they'll still always get you where you want to go.
