Picked up an 87 iroc barn find. Slowly getting it back into shape and found out that the headlights do not work. Marker lamps work interior lights work dash lights work blinkers work rear lights work but no headlights. Tested the yellow wire into the dimmer switch and it has voltage coming to it. Checked continuity through dimmer switch and it works as it should. Checked continuity from dimmer switch to headlights through green and brown wires and it’s good. What the hell am I missing?

 

Have you checked for a ground at the headlights? I noticed sometimes when a car has sat for a long time, a film or corrosion in the connectors prevents a good connection.

 

Found my issue. Had voltage at the yellow wire but it wasn’t 12v it was only 10 so I tore the cluster out and pulled the switch and had 12 at the red wire. Bypassed switch and everything works so my switch is bad. Thanks for responding!
