93-96 Tail Light question

I just got some 93-96 Tail Lights and am about to put them on my car, but first I have a few questions. How can I make the tail lights outermost light light up when i brake? I know ill need a dual filament bulb, but can i just wire in one and open up the hole? Or do i need to add some new wires?

Did you buy a new tail lamp socket? Because there isnt the little metal strip to contact the bulb in my turn signal socket. Or did you do something different??? Thanks for any help!

Do you have to get the new tail lamp socket at a GM dealer? Cuz today when I went to Pep Boys and Autozone, they didnt have any sockets that looked like they would work.

I took the thing apart and there was a metal strip in there and I was able to snap it back together, in the end it looked factory...

As for the actual sockets "twisting" into the tailights, I jsut used a pair of wire cutters and cut the plastic a little more so I could put the stock ones back in not problem.
