94 3.4L won't start car has sit a few years
Hello everyone. My wife and I finally got her late brothers 94 camaro 3.4L. I found out the fuel pump was bad and corroded. I replaced it and cleaned the tank. After that I found out the fuel pump relay was bad and replaced it. After all of that I checked the pressure on rail and I have 50 at start and holding at 40ish after key is off. I also have replaced all plugs and wires. Thing is now it tried to start one time but it just turns over. I've tried to get the old fuel out of the lines to were it's fresh gas. I tried some starting fluid. I didn't use alot I didn't won't issues with it. It fires up but dies within a second or 2. Ive tried doing it again and pumping the gas pedal still nothing. Car has been sitting a few years not sure how many. My father-in-law wanted it to be running and someone enjoying it again. Any help will be appreciated. I'm thinking it's in the fuel rail and injectors. I haven't replaced fuel filter yet I wanted to see when it got running to make sure any trash I wasn't able to get got caught there and replace it with a new one.

Also noticed you didn’t replace the fuel filter. Do it. Sure, may collect some additional trash, and need to replaced again.
50 PSI when the pump primes is a bit high. Might be pointing to a problem with the fuel pressure regulator, or the fuel return line. What is the pressure while cranking the engine?

@RUDEDOG @Injuneer I took your advice. I changed all fuel injectors and filter. I also cleaned the entire fuel rail best I could. It started and ran. It had a slight miss but I figured that might be a fouled plug from the bad gas that might have got in. We drove it and ran it for maybe 15 mins. Today I was going to change the oil and all. But the car will barely run. Like not getting enough fuel. I put a gauge on and I'm only getting only about 10 psi. It seems to hold pressure but just not getting above 10. Before filter change I was getting 45-50 at start dropping to 20ish while running. I'm thinking the filter is the issue being I still hold pressure and all. Just getting your thoughts. Thanks in advance

What brand was the new fuel pump? Did the pump come with a new fabric strainer at the bottom? What brand was the fuel filter?
I just don't know anything about the internals of the V6 fuel rail. Check the vacuum line for wet fuel.

Advance auto part pump and filter. The rail consists of the injector pressure regulator and just injectors. Im thinking it could be regulator. Just being the car has sit so long without running. I feel being everything else is changed that it should be too.

The factory service manual indicates the fuel rail, including the pressure regulator is serviced as a complete package. Unlike the LT1 V8 there is no procedure on how to remove/replace the regulator. I'd be somewhat hesitant to open it up. Might have a spring and other random parts flying out of it.
Checking the regulator vacuum line for wet fuel will tell you if the diaphragm is leaking. The way to check for the regulator leaking fuel to the return line is to stop the flow in the return line. But pinching the nylon return line to stop flow can damage it.
Another possibility is a leak in the flex line that connects the pump to the sending unit, but if that was leaking, fuel pressure would drop to zero when the pump shuts down.

I will check vacuum line once I'm home. The regulator from what I can tell look some what like a thermostat with spring and all. Looks like your just replacing the innards on regulator
