95 camro engine removal questions
Alright Im new here. New to camaros and new to 6 cylinders. I bought a camaro with a water filled motor for 450. Im trying to get the new 3.4 in and i ran into a couple problems.
First problem. I think theres a full tank of gas in it that has sat for over a year. Is there any way to siphon the gas out I really dont wanna drop the rear end just to get the gas out.
Second problem. I cant get the y pipe bolts to budge even with the breaker bar on. Ive soaked them in butter spray and still nothing. Should I just break out the torch and quit messing with it.

It is possible to get a siphon tube into the fuel tank, through the fill pipe - I've done it on my 94. If you can't get the tube in, disconnect the inlet line to the fuel filter, put the end of the hose in a bucket, and power up the fuel pump, using 12V to the fuel pump prime connector in the engine compartment, near the firewall/PCM.
You soaked them in "butter spray"..... like PAM? This is a joke, right? Why didn't you use a rust penetrant like PB Blaster.

Sorry for the super noob question. I was trying to get the ypipe from the top. I went under the car with about 2 feet of extensions and got in off in about 15 minutes.
Im down to the bellhousing bolts. Is there an easy way to get the upper ones from under the car. I have the hanes manual and they say to take the intake manifold off (which it is) and hook the engine up to a lift and that will give u clearance. Only problem is, is my new 3.4 Im putting in is all together and Im not about to take that manifold off just to get it hooked up to the bellhousing.
