95 Z28 Help

Greetings. About a month ago I had to replace the checkvalve and hose on the passenger side of the car, it blew out and actually burned my engine oil cap...I blocked it off and removed the fuse, also changed the battery and the alternator, both were going bad. Car ran fine for a few weeks and I started noticing a loud squeel, I thought it was a belt, but couldnt find anything loose. Now the car bogs down incredibly bad and wont go over 20 mph. It just feels like its not getting any horsepower and just doesnt want to run.

Anyone ever run into the same problem? I could really use some help here in getting this thing fixed. I apprecaite it.

I'd check for a plugged up catalytic convertor. That would cause a lot of backpressure in the exhaust. Perhaps enough to blow through the AIR check valve and pop the hose off. A plugged cat will also reduce engine power, and may cause a noise when it starts popping exhaust gaskets.
